Biscotti dipped in Sherry Firenze

Friday 30 September

Mantova to Florence
Casella of the corte casella was quite touching to see us off with kissess and a lengthy chat. The night was filled with odd very loud and smell some gurglings. We’d enjoyed our fulsome meal of entre parmesan cup and zuchinni roulettes then three pastas and nice cab merlot and salad with gran padana lioncels and coffee coffee coffee. A brief moonlit walk and we were done.
Then off in a cloud to tackle the euro velo 7 again briefly this time and to catch the train to Firenze. The Ethiopian and Bolognan garboes were the best people all day except for the Haitian who stopped his car in the middle of the road to wish us well……Then onwards  So many stairs with trains not just about to go. Then at the last to find the two star otel with two day’s deposit paid up front catering for bicis on the fifth floor….and unable to fit the bikes into the miniscule lift…….ha the 120 stairs is small biscuits when put against the marvellous terrace which overlooks the whole world…..the shower is also to squeak in with a toilette forming most of the room/ Useful my better half suggests for a bit o knees up under the shower……dinner was priceless with a new dessert, Biscotti dipped in Italian sherry. Absolutely the best I’ve had this trip.
Tomorrow laundry Botticelli and carwash can we achieve it in one day?
