closer to the day

So much is falling into place, our tickets, insurance, our homeloans,Sheila's new eyeball almost in position, the new wheels are made, the cycling sandals pinioned perfect. Excitement grows with every opening of the Paris map.
I hardly dare believe that through the mayhem that is current work and our uniting of life domestic we have made our trip together happen... love is very rich and warm and funny with Sheila I'm honoured to have found such bliss so late in relationships life......I become completely childlike in the wonder of the familiarity and the huge weight of history and the mountain splendour and the river rumble that is fabulous Europe. Please may I spend my last moments there. the delight of the old being able to simply take it all in without action. The woman in Lampedusa's tale of the last 6 months simply absorbing. The leopard.
Now I find my mind questing to fill in the time for myself after we return in Dec....how does that work? always to be ahead of oneself must be silly. Perhaps the lesson is being learnt as I project myself interminably forward.
Planning for cycling OS must be so that Bramante and Verdi and Palladio can be revived in all their glorious history altering selves.
